How to Watch Legally — Pick Your Language
For Telugu original + all dubs: Open Prime Video → search “Kalki 2898 AD” → badge shows Included with Prime (not Rent) → Audio → choose Telugu/Hindi/Tamil etc.
For Hindi only (if you have Netflix, no Prime): Netflix → search “Kalki 2898 AD” → shows Hindi audio only + Hindi subs/English subs.
Cheapest: Prime Lite ₹799/year (1 TV) gives you Prime Video with all 5 audios at 4K. Netflix Mobile ₹149 does NOT have Telugu — Hindi only.
Language Table — Verified 11 Jun 2026
| Platform | Telugu | Hindi | Tamil | Malayalam | Kannada | Subs |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Prime Video | Yes (Original) | Yes | Yes | Yes | Yes | English |
| Netflix | No | Yes | No | No | No | English/Hindi |
If you switch Prime audio mid-film, you stay at same timestamp — no restart.
Why Two OTTs?
Theatrical producers Vyjayanthi Movies sold Telugu+Tamil+Malayalam+Kannada rights to Prime, and Hindi rights to Netflix (non-exclusive Hindi window). After 22 Aug, Prime streams all; Netflix only Hindi for Hindi-belt users without Prime.
Which Plan Do You Need? Prime vs Netflix for Kalki
Kalki is the only keeper with split rights — plan depends on language:
| Need | Plan | Price | Gets You |
|---|---|---|---|
| All 5 audios + 4K | Prime ₹1,499/year | ₹1,499 | Telugu original + Hindi/Tamil/Mal/Kan, 4K HDR |
| Budget all-language | Prime Lite ₹799/year | ₹799 | Same 5 audios, 1080p, 1 TV |
| Hindi-only, have Netflix | Netflix Mobile ₹149/mo | ₹149 | Hindi only, 480p, no Telugu |
Don’t buy both for Kalki alone. If you already pay Prime for Mirzapur or Panchayat, watch Kalki there in any language. If you only have Netflix, you get Hindi only — enough for Hindi-belt viewers. Common Mistakes
- Watching Telugu on Netflix: Netflix has Hindi only — Telugu track missing. Switch to Prime for Telugu original with better audio mix.
- Paying rent when included exists: Non-Prime users see Rent ₹149 on Prime. Sign in to Prime Lite/Prime to unlock Included badge — rent is same file, just pay-per-view.
- Expecting all subs on Netflix: Netflix Hindi has English/Hindi subs only. Prime has English subs for all 5 audios.
- Mid-film audio switch confusion: Prime keeps timestamp when switching audio — Netflix restarts on some TVs. Prefer Prime for multi-language households.
